Terms of Service

The service

WatchGist provides AI-generated summaries of, and chat about, YouTube videos via a browser extension. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify important information against the original video before relying on it.

Accounts

Some features require an account created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.

Plans and fair use

Free plans include monthly limits, and a limited trial is available without an account. Pro plans are described as “effectively unlimited” and are subject to fair-use limits to prevent abuse. Subscriptions are billed by Polar, our merchant of record, and may renew automatically. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices and limits may change, with notice for material changes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• abuse the Service, including automated scraping, reselling output at scale, or circumventing plan or trial limits;
• use the Service to infringe others’ rights or to break any applicable law;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software and branding, belongs to WatchGist. Video transcripts and content remain the property of their respective owners; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the content you submit.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its AI output.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
